Vapor Intrusion and the Meeker Avenue Plume
In March of 2023, North Brooklyn Neighbors hosted a community workshop to learn about vapor intrusion in response to the March 2022 designation of the Meeker Avenue Plume as a federal Superfund site. We were joined by expert Lenny Siegel of the Center for Public Environmental Oversight who gave a presentation focused on the health risks of vapor intrusion, gave some insight on the likely process of the Environmental Protection Agency, and answered questions from the community.
