Soil Testing at Red Shed Community Garden

In collaboration with Red Shed Community Garden, North Brooklyn Neighbors will be offering free soil testing on Sunday, September 8 from 10 am to noon at the garden.

We will be using our XRF machine to offer free soil testing of the heavy metal (i.e. lead) content of your soil and results will be available immediately. Bring a sample of your soil in a new, clear, plastic sandwich bag with about 2 cups of dry soil. Information on safely dealing with high levels of lead in soil will be available in English, Polish, and Spanish. No registration required.
