North Brooklyn is home to an outsized share of waste transfer stations and other waste infrastructure. Trucks transporting commercial waste currently drive all over NYC picking up waste and spewing fumes into the air. We believe that implementing commercial waste zones designed to increase of truck routes efficiency will significantly reduce the miles driven per truck, improve worker safety, and positively impact air quality.
